Due to personal reasons, the “Paradise” rockers have postponed their trip to Australia which would have included multiple appearances on radio stations and television.

A few days prior to their Grammys duet with Rihanna, Coldplay announced that they are postponing their trip to Australia but promise to make it up to them.

The band’s statement reads:

“We sincerely apologise to our Australian fans for having to postpone next week’s scheduled trip. We miss you guys and we promise we’ll make it up to you. In fact, stay tuned for a big announcement soon.”

This announcement came on Friday (2/10) after frontman Chris Martin appeared to be ill at a charity concert in Los Angeles on Wednesday (2/8).

During the set, especially for the song “Viva La Vida,” it appears that singer Chris Martin is short of breath, and even off pace at times.

See for yourself!

However, Martin’s Grammys performance seemed much improved from his February 8th show, so hopefully it was just the flu.

Below is some footage of Coldplay and Rihanna’s duet last night at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards.
