Kennedy’s Dirty on the 30 – Taylor Swift Should Shut Up

I know I’m gonna catch some grief for that, but I mean it.  Sometimes it’s just good to be silent.  Especially when everything you say makes you look like a whiny 12-year-old.

Before I dig in to Taylor’s most recent shout out to the haters, let’s talk quickly about her savvy real estate dealings.  Remember back when she was dating Connor Kennedy and she decided to take it to stage 5 clinger by buying a house next door to his Grammy?  Well, she flipped that bitch and made… wait for it… a $875,000 profit!  I have had my condo in Memphis on the market for 4 long years.  Not even a nibble.  And 4 price reductions.  She never even set foot in that place.  Sheesh.  Anyway, moving on.

Tay Tay recently did an interview for “Vanity Fair” and, well, I’ll give you some nuggets.

*Taylor insists her dating conquests are exaggerated.  HUH?   She said “If you want a big revelation, since 2010 I have dated exactly two people”.   Wow, lie much?  Let’s do some math.  I count John Mayer, Cory Monteith, Jake Gyllenhaal, Conor Kennedy and Harry Styles.   Sweetie you live your life in public and then WRITE SONGS ABOUT IT.  I suck at math, but it doesn’t lie.

*She broke up with Harry Styles because she realized he “was looking at every girl.”  And the relationship finally ended when he “disappeared one night”.  I’m guessing he didn’t like antiquing, but that’s just me.

Then she lost her mind and forgot she’s a 20-something pop star who writes about “never ever ever getting back together” and wanted to get deep.  She said “For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her, I think that’s taking something that potentially should be celebrated.

“A woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way… that’s taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist”.  Hmmm, not clingy or insane?  Let’s get some evidence…

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards - Show

Moving on.  Taylor then decides to talk about the Mean Girls.  And by that I mean Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and how mean they were to her at the Golden Globes.  It’s been months.

Well I guess Katie Couric gave her some advice – “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women”.  So, Tina and Amy deserve to go to hell for making fun of something you make millions of dollars doing?  OMG Taylor, put a sock in it.

Amy had a response “Aw, I feel bad if she was upset.  I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl.  That being said, I do agree I am going to hell.  But for other reasons.  Mostly boring tax stuff.”  Touche Amy.

I’m exhausted.  Have a great mean-girl-free day.
