A new study has found that young people are actually way more forgetful than older people. The study compared people ages 18 to 34 to people that were 55+.
Here are just a few of the places where younger people were more forgetful than older people:
They found 15% of young people sometimes forget what day it is, versus 7% of older people. And 14% of young people sometimes forget where they put their keys, versus 8% of older people.
Younger people were even more likely to forget to take a shower. 6% of young people sometimes forget to clean themselves, versus 2% of older people.
The researchers say young people are getting more forgetful because of a mix of stress, not sleeping, and constant multitasking.
Overall, the study found 39% of Americans have forgotten one basic piece of information or lost one everyday item in the past week.
