Hanging with the parents paid off for some lucky sons and daughters of Elton John fans last night. A potentially “boring” night out with mom and dad ended up being pretty eventful when Elton’s label-mates Demi Lovato, Fall Out Boy‘s Patrick Stump, and Shawn Mendes joined him onstage at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, Elton handpicked the guests from his record label. After watching clips of their performances, we can see why.

Demi Lovato was born to sing Kiki Dee’s part in Elton John’s song, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”. Watch a clip of her slaying the duet with Elton, and looking damn good doing it below!

Shawn Mendes had the honor of performing one of Elton’s sweetest songs, “Tiny Dancer”. Swoon.

And Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump had everyone in the audience believing last night was Saturday when he broke into his energetic rendition of “Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting”.

Check out a clip of his performance at the end of TMZ’s recap video below!
