During this week in 2002, Kelly Clarkson had a moment like no other. The singer hit number one on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for the very first time with the song that was written for season one of American Idol’s winner, “A Moment Like This.”

Clarkson currently holds the record for her song “My Life Would Suck Without You,” which jumped from number 97 to number one in 2009.
