Do you think you could last spending the night in Dracula’s Castle?

According to AP, if you’re lucky enough you might just get the opportunity to do so. “Dracula’s castle will have overnight guests on Halloween, marking the first time since 1948 that anyone has slept in the Transylvanian fortress” thanks to a promotion being run by AIRBNB.

The contest, which just opened today, required contestants to use their “vampiric wit” by coming up with something to say to Dracula if they were to meet him. “Winners will be flown to Romania and then taken to the castle set dramatically in the Carpathian Mountains. The guests will be wined and dined, then left alone to lie down in red velvet-trimmed coffins just as Dracula did in the Bram Stoker horror novel that popularized the legend.”

One of Bram Stokers relatives, Dacre Stoker, is actually putting on the promotion with AIRBNB. “”I want to make it both realistic and show the legend in the wonderful country that birthed the whole thing” he revealed in a phone interview. There are some house rules for the guests according to the AIRBNB listing. “No garlic or garlic-scented items allowed, you are kindly requested to leave your silver jewelry at home, do not cross the cutlery, in fact, please refrain from placing anything in a Cross formation, and the Count is not a fan of mirror selfies.”

The castle’s name is Bran Castle and it sits in Bran, Romania. “The castle is famous for its connection to Vlad the Impaler, a real-life prince who stayed there in the 15th century and had a cruel habit of using stakes to impale his victims.”
