'Days of Our Lives' Star Kevin Dobson Dies at 77

Kevin Dobson, known for his roles in "Knots Landing," "Days of Our Lives," and "Kojak," has passed away at the age of 77.

The announcement that he had passed on Sunday was made on Facebook by the United Veterans Council of San Joaquin County. Dobson served as chairman of the San Joaquin group.

"Army Veteran, Veterans Rights Activist, Film and Television Actor Kevin Dobson has passed away. He was 77 years old. Condolences to the entire family," the post reads.

Dobson's first major role was that of Governor Harrison Brooks in the TV series "One Life to Live" in 1968. He then went on to star in other TV shows such as "The Doctors," "The Rookies," "Emergency!," and "Stranded," Deadline reports.

In 1982, Dobson acted alongside Michele Lee, Nicollette Sheridan, and Ted Shackelford in the CBS drama "Knots Landing."

Dobson was set to appear in "12 to Midnight," premiering in 2021.
