Katy Perry Delays Wedding Again, Goes Orange for Virtual Tomorrowland Performance

It was a big weekend for KP

July 27, 2020

“Orange you glad TODAYS THE DAY!” Yes we are Katy, yes we are.

That was the caption Katy Perry shared on Instagram as she showed off her glowing orange outfit ahead of her virtual performance at Tomorrowland Festival. With bright orange hair to match her orange polka dot dress, KP teased her “(big) top tier performance) at Tomorrowland.

The virtual set came as part of Tomorrowland’s Around the World festival and saw the pop star perform hits like “Roar,” “Dark Horse,” “Teenage Dream,” “California Gurls,” “I’m Walking on Air,” and “I Kissed a Girl.”

Perry also treated fans to songs from her upcoming album Smile including the title track and “Daisies (Can’t Cancel Pride).”

Unfortunately Perry did have to share some somber news this weekend as she and fiancé Orlando Bloom delayed their wedding once again.

“You can’t plan anymore in 2020 because those plans are always canceled,” she told The Mirror.

The couple originally planned to wed last winter, but pushed it back to this summer in Japan. Then, COVID-19 happened and they were forced to delay once again.

Right now, Perry and Bloom have turned their attention to their first child, who is due next month.

“We just want to deliver a healthy child,” Perry said. “Everyone has to take life one week at a time right now.”

Perry is due to give birth later this summer and has already come up with a clever nickname for her unborn daughter. "I call her Kicky Perry," she joked before adding “I love a pun."

While the 35-year-old and her fiancé Orlando Bloom will likely choose another name as their daughter’s legal name, Kicky Perry certainly has staying power.
