Matthew McConaughey is hitting the road for the sake of healthcare workers.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Oscar winner is personally delivering 110,000 face masks to rural hospitals in his home state of Texas.

McConaughey shared a photo behind the wheel of a pickup truck with boxes of masks visible in the back of the vehicle. The 50-year-old wore a mask and was accompanied by wife Camila Alves, who also donned the protective gear.

“Thanks to @lincoln for donating 110 thousand masks – me and @camilamcconaughey hitting the road to get em to rural hospitals in need across Texas,” he captioned the pic.

Throughout the onset of the novel virus, McConaughey has been making charitable donations and doing other inspiring acts.

Last month, the “Dallas Buyers Club” star donated 80,000 masks to first responders in Louisiana and Texas, reported Fox6.

He also uploaded a video showing his fans how to make a face covering using a bandana and rubber bands without having to sew a single stitch.

Last week, McConaughey also shared his empowering words of wisdom to the 2020 class at the Urban Assembly School for Emergency Management in a virtual commencement speech.

“I want to congratulate you on your chosen professions as emergency management trackers. We all have a role to play in making this world a better place and you chose to do something with real and necessary purpose,” he said. “Your vocation is a necessity, it’s not a luxury. It’s a brave job that takes true courage and commitment.”

Since the start of the outbreak, McConaughey has been self-isolating at his home in Austin with Camila and their three children.
