‘Mom’, ‘A Cinderella Story’ Actress Mary Pat Gleason Dies at 70

Mary Pat Gleason, who starred on the sitcom "Mom" and the 2004 movie "A Cinderella Story," has died. She was 70.

Gleason died of cancer on June 2nd, reported Variety.

Gleason started out on the soap opera "Guiding Light." While she played the character Jane Hogan, she won a Daytime Emmy for being a part of the writing team in 1986.

Over the years, she appeared on television shows such as "Full House," "Sex and the City," "Desperate Housewives" and "Will and Grace."

On the big screen, Gleason had roles in "Basic Instinct," "13 Going on 30" and "Bruce Almighty."

She had a recurring role on "Mom," co-starring alongside Allison Janney and Anna Faris.

One of Gleason's most recent roles was in the 2018 Netflix movie “Sierra Burgess Is a Loser.”
