It must run in the Sajak family!

Pat Sajak's daughter gave letter turning a spin on "Wheel of Fortune."

Maggie Sajak, 25, turned letters on Monday night's episode of the 45-year-old game show. She joined veteran letter turner Vanna White, who filled in for Pat Sajak while he was recovering from surgery.

Entertainment Tonight reported that producers asked Sajak's daughter, Maggie Sajak to take on the job.

"As you just heard, Pat will be back next week. In the meantime, I'm happy to fill in," White said at the start of Monday's show. "But, you know, I could do this even better, hosting the show with a Sajak. Everyone, please welcome Pat's daughter, Maggie Sajak."

Before the game started, Maggie made sure to remind viewers that this wasn't her first time on the set. Maggie made her first appearance on the show when she was just one year old when her proud father introduced her to the audience.

After playing the flashback from 1996, Maggie told audience members, "I'm walking a little better now and hopefully I'm a little more eloquent than last time."

White hosted the show while her co-star had to undergo surgery to correct a blocked intestine back in November. She filmed three weeks worth of episodes as the fill-in host before Sajak returned for his first episode that aired on December 9.

Back in December, Sajak opened up about his recent health crisis. In an exclusive with "Good Morning America" Sajak said he is back in the studio and "is feeling great."

The "Wheel of Fortune" host went on to explain the day he felt a "horrific pain" that turned out to be a blocked intestine. He said that if doctors didn't operate right away, he could have died.

"I didn't know what it [was] -- but within two and a half hours, I was in surgery," said Sajak. "It was that quick and intense," he continued.

Sajak also explained the moment he thought this was his last breath.

"In the background, I could hear my wife and daughter talking. It sounded like they were a mile off, but they were right next to me," he said. "They were talking to each other. And I remember thinking, not in a morbid way, 'I think this must be death. This must be what death is like.'"

Sajak resumed his position in December, but there was a catch. The game show taped six shows in a day, which means they had a week of pre-recorded shows that aired the week of December 30.

This means that the episodes that closed out the year were all filmed prior to Sajak’s health issues. During Sajak’s recovery, White went from running the letterboard to filling in for 15 straight episodes.

Sajak updated his fans on Twitter and revealed his official return date (without pre-recorded episodes) will be Monday, Jan 13.
