Boston GreenFest: 11th annual sustainability festival at City Hall Plaza

July 25, 2018

On the first weekend of August, the 11th annual Boston GreenFest will be taking place at Boston's City Hall Plaza.

The three-day fest aims to create a sustainable world by empowering its attendees to live green. It also strives to create a green festival through not allowing bottled water on site, composting, upcycling decorations, and bringing plants to the plaza to offset the carbon dioxide output of the festival.

Boston GreenFest promotes vegetarianism to reduce their attendees’ carbon footprints. It also features a wine and beer garden, a green biz breakfast, and a food truck emporium.

The event has fun activities for all attendees, including concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings, a green-film fest, eco-kid activities, an eco-friendly fashion show, a climbing tower, and test drives of electric vehicles.

The fun festival is run by the Foundation for a Green Future and a team of volunteers to promote sustainable living. It is in Boston City Hall Plaza on August 3, 4 and 5 from noon to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from noon to 6 P.M. on Sunday.
