IT'S CHARLI BABY!!!!

Charli XCX is dropping her highly anticpated new album Charli later this week and us Angels have gotten another taste with her latest Troye Sivan assisted "2099." Following up on their nostalgic "1999" collab, this track finds us being catapulted into the future with the synth-heavy production.

"2099" screams THE FUTURE and although it might be quite jarring for most people at first-listen the lyrics still retain that Pop-earworm charactertistic that only Charli is capable of achieving. After a few listens you won't be getting "fast like a NASCAR, never touch us" or "quiet no discussions please hush" out of your head (shoutout ot ALMA!).

So far the Number 1 Angel visionary has delivered a wide range of unqiue sounds with the releases from Charli while always delivering straight up BOPS. "Blame It On Your Love" with Lizzo wonderfully follows up "Track 10," "Cross You Out" with Sky Ferreira is a total breakup banger, and "Gone" with Christine and the Queens is truly the powerhouse of the album. Plus, the video is AMAZING!

Although POP2 was meant to signify the future of Pop, it's clear that Charli is the future.
