This Feel Good Story is about Ruby Kate Chitsey, a 5th grader in Arkansas, who spends a lot of time at the nursing home near her house.

According to CNN, Ruby's Mother is a nurse at the home, and Ruby has always enjoyed hanging with the residents. She found herself asking one of the residents why she was staring out a window, looking sad. The resident told Ruby that she had just been visited by her dog and wasn't sure if she would be able to see him again.

Ruby knew she had to do something. She knew she had to fill these residents' wishes that were so simple and small, but maybe they could not be able to afford.

That's when Ruby created "Three Wishes for Ruby's Residents." On the Facebook page for this project, the wishes started rolling in, and they surprised her. They were the smallest things that most of us wouldn't think twice about.

Some of them included: a man asking for pants that fit, another asked for fresh fruit, another hasn't tasted McDonald's in years and just wanted a happy meal. Ruby made sure all of those wishes were met.

"I think Ruby's starting a movement - recognizing a need and just doing something abut it. This about their quality of life - bringing them joy," said Ruby's mother.

Ruby started a GoFundMe that has raised more than $30,000 for residents living in nursing homes in Arkansas.
